Mental Wellbeing

At Heritage High School we understand that staying on top of our mental wellbeing is good for us and helps to deal with difficult situations in the future.

Wellbeing is important as it can help to:

  • Feel and express a range of emotions
  • Have confidence and positive self-esteem
  • Have good relationships with others
  • Enjoy the world around you
  • Cope with stress and adapt when things change.

Mental Wellbeing describes your mental state, how you are feeling and how well you can cope with day-to-day life.

Our Mental Wellbeing is dynamic, as it can change from moment to moment, day-today, month-to-month or year-to-year.

Through our pastoral team we ensure that every student has access to support to help them cope when times are difficult

Wellbeing Links

The Department of Education have put together some useful links and sources of mental health support so that children and young people, parents, carers, and school and college staff can get the advice and help they need.

The list included in the link is not exhaustive, and many other useful organisations and services exist, but it is hoped that these will help children, young people and adults navigate the key resources and get the support they deserve.
