Despite only being back at school for a few weeks. The Heritage High School sport teams have hit the ground running with their first games taking place over the course of last week.
On Wednesday last week the year 8 girls team competed in their first tournament of this academic year. All girls played extremely well, which was evident in the result. The girls came first overall, which was very well deserved. It is great to see so many students attending the girls football training sessions on a Thursday. Training sessions are open to everybody, all abilities, just arrive at the sports hall straight after school on Thursdays (girls) and boys training takes place Mondays (year 7), Wednesdays (year 8-10).
The year 10 and 11 girls also played their first netball games of the year on Wednesday, with the year 11 team taking first place and the year 10’s taking second. The girls played a very high standard of netball in preparation for their PE or Sport Studies GCSE.
Well done to all teams that took part in sporting activities last week and congratulations on all your achievements.
