On Friday 8 November 2024 Heritage High School held a Remembrance Service for all the brave service men, women and animals who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The whole school came together at 10.45am for a service led by Reverend Bryony Taylor. There was a Reading of Dulce et Decorum Est by Mr Cooper, Head of History, and a number of year 11 students laid wreaths, including a purple one to remember all the animals, and a white one to symbolise peace.
Allison Wain from the Salvation Army was in attendance and played the Last Post to which all students and staff began 2 minutes silence, Allison then played Reveille to mark the end of the service.
We would like to thank Reverend Bryony Taylor and Allison Wain, along with all our visitors who attended the service including our Chair of Governors Martin Edge.
We are incredibly proud of all our students who showed real respect and pride throughout the service, and a number of students attended in their military uniform.
2 minutes silence will also be held on Monday 11 November 2024 at 11am.
